WLOC tray icon

The WLOC tray icon has appeared consistently from day one. I like to see it
to know it's running. That's just me.

Anyway, this morning for whatever reason, the icon is not visible. I don't
see it at all. Not sure what happened or what caused this to happen. Can
anyone tell me? It seemed rather odd.

Thank you

Cynthia

It should return on a reboot. I've had it not appear if lots of programs are
loading at startup and the other programs delay OneCare's start. You can also
try logging out of Windows and logging back in. On my resource starved PC that
this happens on, I typically boot the PC and wait a minute or so at the login
screen in Windows before signing in.

Thanks, Steve -- it's back! :)

I don't use login screen for Windows. Stopped doing that a long time ago.
I'm the only one using this PC anyway.

That means that my "workaround" of waiting to login isn't going to work for you.
:-)
Ah, well. The good news is that even without the icon, if you start OneCare from
the Start Menu, you'll see the green status. If OneCare actually fails, the
Windows Security Center would spring into action to alert you of an issue in
most cases.
Take care,
